  • Genus Prunus can be deciduous or evergreen trees or shrubs with showy flowers in spring, and often good autumn foliage colour. Some have edible fruit in autumn, and a few species have ornamental bark

  • Details 'Brilliant' is a dense, upright shrub or bushy tree to about 3m tall. It has chestnut-brown branches and the coarsely-toothed foliage emerges rusty-bronze in spring, turning green for summer then orange and red in autumn. The single, white flowers appear in mid-spring, before the leaves, and may be followed by purplish-black fruit.
